SCOTT GALANTE

Scott Galante, the managing partner of Galante & Bivalacqua, is a trial lawyer who has spent his entire legal career litigating on behalf of injured plaintiffs.

From an early age, Scott felt a strong desire to help people. His legal work is an extension of this natural inclination to do good for others whenever possible.

He has dedicated his career to helping injured people who have been unjustly harmed and need help navigating the intricacies of our legal system. He has secured multi-million dollar recoveries for mesothelioma victims and has helped countless others dealing with catastrophic injuries obtain the compensation they require and deserve.

EDUCATION

After earning his philosophy degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994, Scott attended law school at Tulane University School of Law. During his time at Tulane, Scott served as an Administrative Justice on the school’s Moot Court Board, where he first developed his passion for litigation. He was also honored as Tulane’s 1998 Moot Court Junior Appellate champion. Additionally, he served as a practicing student attorney in the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic from 1999 to 2000. This is experience he has put to good use as a member of one of Louisiana’s foremost admiralty legal teams.

EXPERIENCE

Upon graduating law school, Scott spent five years as an associate attorney at Motley Rice, LLC – one of South Carolina’s most respected law firms and a nationally-recognized powerhouse litigation firm.

Scott returned to New Orleans in 2005, excited to launch his own litigation practice. Within a short time, Scott Galante had built his own powerhouse litigation practice. Along with Sal Bivalacqua, he handles a variety of complex matters that require zealous advocacy and exceptional courtroom skills. Scott’s practice is focused primarily on asbestos claims, catastrophic injuries, and civil litigation. He also joins his partner, Sal Bivalacqua, in the firm’s business and admiralty practice.

When he is not helping clients in the office or the courtroom, Scott is a member of the faculty at the Tulane University School of Law, where he serves as an instructor in the school’s Trial Advocacy program. Additionally, Scott is a co-founder of NOBHCF, Inc. d/b/a Beth’s Friends Forever (“BFF NOLA”) and sits on its board of directors. BFF NOLA is a cancer foundation dedicated to providing financial assistance to women cancer victims in the NOLA area. Scott sits on the board of directors of The Energy Wise Alliance which is a non-profit organization dedicated to education school aged children in energy efficiency and conservation issues. Scott captains a team for the annual Louisiana MS150 bike ride along with other charity bike rides in the New Orleans area.
